Historically, natural gas reserves as a share of worldwide reserves in Egypt reached an all time high of 1.17% in 2017 and an all time low of 0.101% in 1982. When compared to Egypt's main peers, natural gas reserves as a share of worldwide reserves in Israel amounted to 0.094%, 0.805% in Libya, 4.60% in Saudi Arabia and 0.045% in Sudan in 2017.
