Motor vehicles per 1,000 people rose 2.93% to 177 vehicles in the World in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in the World reached an all time high of 177 vehicles in 2015 and an all time low of 137 vehicles in 2005. When compared to World's main peers, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in China amounted to 117 vehicles, 591 vehicles in Germany, 615 vehicles in Japan and 819 vehicles in USA in 2015.
