Historically, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in Panama reached an all time high of 171 vehicles in 2015 and an all time low of 97.3 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Panama's main peers, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in Colombia amounted to 109 vehicles, 217 vehicles in Costa Rica, 19.2 vehicles in Honduras and 77.6 vehicles in Nicaragua in 2015.
