Motor vehicles per 1,000 people rose 0.296% to 10.1 vehicles in Mauritania in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in Mauritania reached an all time high of 10.3 vehicles in 2013 and an all time low of 9.51 vehicles in 2012. When compared to Mauritania's main peers, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in Algeria amounted to 138 vehicles, 12.6 vehicles in Mali, 106 vehicles in Morocco and 44.5 vehicles in Senegal in 2015.
