Historically, military expenditure as a share of GDP in Ukraine reached an all time high of 33.5% in 2022 and an all time low of 0.318% in 1992. When compared to Ukraine's main peers, military expenditure as a share of GDP in Poland amounted to 2.39%, 1.73% in Romania and 4.06% in Russia in 2022.
