Historically, merchandise trade as a share of GDP in Mexico reached an all time high of 79.9% in 2021 and an all time low of 9.76% in 1972. When compared to Mexico's main peers, merchandise trade as a share of GDP in Belize amounted to 59.6%, 46.9% in Guatemala, 88.7% in Honduras and 20.1% in USA in 2021.
