Czechs get one of the best health care services in the world compared to how much money they have to contribute from their own pockets. Medical coverage, infrastructure and quality are good and mostly improving, on the other hand, the system is relatively underfunded and paid heavily from public sources.
There are some 1.85 physicians per 1,000 inhabitants in the Czech Republic, compared to 0.7 in the world on average, or 1.2 physicians in the USA.
In addition, Czech Republic generates one of the highest number of medical graduates within the OECD universe, nearly 14 persons per 100,000 inhabitants.
