Historically, maize production in Nepal reached an all time high of 2,998 kt in 2021 and an all time low of 576 kt in 1979. When compared to Nepal's main peers, maize production in Bangladesh amounted to 4,116 kt, 30.9 kt in Bhutan, 272,552 kt in China and 31,650 kt in India in 2021.
