Historically, maize production in Laos reached an all time high of 1,552 kt in 2016 and an all time low of 15.0 kt in 1963. When compared to Laos's main peers, maize production in Cambodia amounted to 920 kt, 272,552 kt in China, 5,300 kt in Thailand and 4,446 kt in Vietnam in 2021.
