Historically, maize production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 1,130 kt in 2021 and an all time low of 111 kt in 1997. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, maize production in China amounted to 272,552 kt, 691 kt in Kyrgyzstan, 15,240 kt in Russia and 590 kt in Uzbekistan in 2021.
