Historically, maize production in Germany reached an all time high of 5,515 kt in 2012 and an all time low of 26.2 kt in 1961. When compared to Germany's main peers, maize production in Austria amounted to 2,435 kt, 450 kt in Belgium, 15,358 kt in France and 7,322 kt in Poland in 2021.
