Historically, maize production in India reached an all time high of 31,650 kt in 2021 and an all time low of 4,312 kt in 1961. When compared to India's main peers, maize production in Bangladesh amounted to 4,116 kt, 272,552 kt in China, 10,635 kt in Pakistan and 472 kt in Sri Lanka in 2021.
