Historically, maize production in Uganda reached an all time high of 4,560 kt in 2020 and an all time low of 190 kt in 1962. When compared to Uganda's main peers, maize production in Kenya amounted to 3,303 kt, 483 kt in Rwanda, 175 kt in South Sudan and 2,243 kt in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2021.
