Historically, life expectancy for females in South Korea reached an all time high of 86.5 years in 2020 and an all time low of 49.9 years in 1955. When compared to South Korea's main peers, life expectancy for females in China amounted to 77.3 years, 75.4 years in Dem. People's Republic of Korea, 86.5 years in Japan and 80.9 years in Vietnam in 2022.
