Historically, life expectancy for females in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of 64.9 years in 1986 and an all time low of 42.5 years in 2001. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, life expectancy for females in Botswana amounted to 49.1 years, 54.3 years in Mozambique, 59.0 years in South Africa and 63.2 years in Zambia in 2022.
