Historically, killed in road traffic accidents in Sweden reached an all time high of 1,313 persons in 1965 and an all time low of 259 persons in 2015. When compared to Sweden's main peers, killed in road traffic accidents in Denmark amounted to 211 persons, 256 persons in Finland, 135 persons in Norway and 20,308 persons in Russia in 2016.
