Historically, killed in road traffic accidents in Estonia reached an all time high of 490 persons in 1991 and an all time low of 61.0 persons in 2015. When compared to Estonia's main peers, killed in road traffic accidents in Finland amounted to 256 persons, 158 persons in Latvia, 192 persons in Lithuania and 20,308 persons in Russia in 2016.
