Historically, jet fuel consumption in the European Union reached an all time high of 1,147 '000 bpd in 2008 and an all time low of 386 '000 bpd in 1982. When compared to European Union's main peers, jet fuel consumption in China amounted to 541 '000 bpd, 221 '000 bpd in Japan, 242 '000 bpd in Russia and 1,470 '000 bpd in USA in 2015.
