Historically, jet fuel consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in the European Union reached an all time high of 30.3% in 2015 and an all time low of 15.3% in 1988. When compared to European Union's main peers, jet fuel consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in China amounted to 15.4%, 6.26% in Japan, 6.86% in Russia and 41.7% in USA in 2015.
