Historically, expenditure of international tourism as a percentage of total imports in Chile reached an all time high of 5.34% in 1999 and an all time low of 1.06% in 2020. When compared to Chile's main peers, expenditure of international tourism as a percentage of total imports in Argentina amounted to 5.25%, 3.93% in Bolivia, 2.16% in Paraguay and 3.67% in Uruguay in 2020.
