Interest rate on bank loans fell 1.02% to 6.94% in Panama in 2021, according to the National Central Bank.
Historically, interest rate on bank loans in Panama reached an all time high of 12.9% in 1989 and an all time low of 6.50% in 2015. When compared to Panama's main peers, interest rate on bank loans in Colombia amounted to 9.34%, 5.51% in Costa Rica, 16.0% in Honduras and 9.62% in Nicaragua in 2021.
