Insurance and financial services as a percentage of service imports from the balance of payment rose 61.9% to 3.69% in Palestine in 2021, according to the National Central Bank / OECD.

Historically, insurance and financial services as a percentage of service imports from the balance of payment in Palestine reached an all time high of 4.27% in 2018 and an all time low of 1.28% in 2008. When compared to Palestine's main peers, insurance and financial services as a percentage of service imports from the balance of payment in Egypt amounted to 10.3%, 1.76% in Israel, 13.5% in Jordan and 15.4% in Lebanon in 2021.
