Historically, insurance and financial services as a percentage of service exports from the balance of payment in Kosovo reached an all time high of 5.68% in 2020 and an all time low of 0.739% in 2021. When compared to Kosovo's main peers, insurance and financial services as a percentage of service exports from the balance of payment in Albania amounted to 0.377%, 0.207% in Macedonia, 0.944% in Montenegro and 1.19% in Serbia in 2021.
Kosovo has been ranked 115th within the group of 134 countries we follow in terms of insurance and financial services as a percentage of service exports from the balance of payment, 20 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
