Historically, infant mortality per 1,000 live births in Syria reached an all time high of 116 in 1960 and an all time low of 13.8 in 2010. When compared to Syria's main peers, infant mortality per 1,000 live births in Iraq amounted to 26.7, 15.5 in Jordan, 7.20 in Lebanon and 11.6 in Turkey in 2015.
