Historically, incidence of tuberculosis per 100,000 people in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of 682 persons in 1999 and an all time low of 181 persons in 2020. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, incidence of tuberculosis per 100,000 people in Botswana amounted to 235 persons, 361 persons in Mozambique, 513 persons in South Africa and 307 persons in Zambia in 2021.
Zimbabwe has been ranked 37th within the group of 175 countries we follow in terms of incidence of tuberculosis per 100,000 people, 18 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
