ICICI Bank's non-performing loans reached 7.16% of total loans at the end of 2018, down from 9.09% compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 9.09% in 2017 and an all time low of 1.93% in 2013.
Provision coverage amounted to 50.0% at the end of 2018, down from 51.0% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 2.90% of average loans in 2018. That's compared to 2.26% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
