Jaguar Land Rover invested a total of GBP 3,270 mil in 2019, up 2.19% compared to the previous year. Historically, between 2010 - 2019, the company's investments stood at a high of GBP 3,723 mil in 2017 and a low of GBP 767 mil in 2010.
As a percentage of total sales, investments stood at 13.2% in 2019, up from 13.0% as seen in the previous year. This is compared to an average of 13.3% over the last five years.
The total value of cash investments was GBP 331 mil in 2019. Apart from the capital expenditures, the company booked GBP 89.8 mil outflow from long-term investments, further GBP 494 mil inflow due to acquisitions and GBP 1,113 mil outflow from other investing activities.
As far as Jaguar Land Rover's peers are concerned, BMW Group invested EUR 6,820 mil, or 6.54% of its sales in 2019. Comparable figures for Audi Group are EUR 3,877 mil and 6.96%.
