Historically, number of households with mortgage loans as a percentage of total households in Slovakia reached an all time high of 23.3% in 2020 and an all time low of 3.70% in 2005. When compared to Slovakia's main peers, number of households with mortgage loans as a percentage of total households in Austria amounted to 25.3%, 24.5% in Czechia, 15.5% in Hungary and 17.9% in Poland in 2020.
