HDFC Bank's capital adequacy ratio reached 17.1% at the end of 2018, up from 14.8% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 17.5% in 2009 and an all time low of 11.4% in 2005.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 15.8% at the end of 2018, up from 13.2% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 95.2% at the end of 2018, up from 89.9% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 70.6%.
