Halkbank's capital adequacy ratio reached 13.6% at the end of 2017, up from 12.5% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 16.2% in 2012 and an all time low of 12.5% in 2016.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 12.0% at the end of 2017, up from 11.5% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 118% at the end of 2017, down from 125% when compared to the previous year.
Comparing Halkbank with its closest peers, Isbank ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 15.2% and loans to deposits of 138%, Garanti Bank with 16.8% and 114% respectively and VakifBank some 15.0% in terms of capital adequacy and 127% of loans to deposits at the end of 2017.
