Historically, gross domestic savings as a share of GDP in Malta reached an all time high of 0.399 in 2017 and an all time low of -0.018 in 1974. When compared to Malta's main peers, gross domestic savings as a share of GDP in Greece amounted to 0.104, 0.224 in Italy, 0.052 in Tunisia and 0.316 in Turkey in 2021.
