Goods imports as a part of balance payment rose 26.5% to USD 319 bil in Vietnam in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, goods imports as a part of balance payment in Vietnam reached an all time high of USD 319 bil in 2021 and an all time low of USD 10.0 bil in 1996. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, goods imports as a part of balance payment in Cambodia amounted to USD 30.7 bil, USD 2,653 bil in China, USD 6.28 bil in Laos and USD 231 bil in Thailand in 2021.
Vietnam has been ranked 19th within the group of 140 countries we follow in terms of goods imports as a part of balance payment, 13 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
