Czechs spend nearly USD 7 bil a year on betting according to the Finance Ministry, mostly at video terminals and online betting. That means over USD 660 per capita a year (including babies or elderly).
When you add a very high consumption of alcohol (of nearly 12 litres of pure alcohol per person) and approximately 2,000 cigarettes smoked per person annually, Czechs look like a nation of addicts.
When having so many interesting trends and examples in the world to choose from, why do so often pick the worst ones?
