Foreign trade in services as a share of GDP rose 9.21% to 27.6% in Slovenia in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Slovenia reached an all time high of 29.7% in 2019 and an all time low of 16.0% in 1999. When compared to Slovenia's main peers, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Austria amounted to 28.4%, 32.2% in Croatia, 25.4% in Hungary and 10.4% in Italy in 2021.
