Historically, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Japan reached an all time high of 8.37% in 2019 and an all time low of 3.39% in 1993. When compared to Japan's main peers, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in China amounted to 4.38%, 7.40% in Russia, 13.6% in South Korea and 5.77% in USA in 2021.
