Historically, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in El Salvador reached an all time high of 19.8% in 2019 and an all time low of 10.9% in 1995. When compared to El Salvador's main peers, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Costa Rica amounted to 21.1%, 8.13% in Guatemala, 18.6% in Honduras and 13.5% in Nicaragua in 2021.
