Foreign trade in services as a share of GDP rose 11.3% to 25.5% in Macedonia in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Macedonia reached an all time high of 26.5% in 2015 and an all time low of 12.3% in 1997. When compared to Macedonia's main peers, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Albania amounted to 33.5%, 20.1% in Bulgaria, 31.3% in Greece and 34.8% in Kosovo in 2021.
