Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Angola reached an all time high of 179% in 1999 and an all time low of 51.9% in 2020. When compared to Angola's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Botswana amounted to 94.5%, 79.7% in Namibia, 86.0% in Zambia and 80.5% in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2021.
