Foreign trade as a share of GDP rose 14.0% to 156% in Lithuania in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Lithuania reached an all time high of 173% in 1993 and an all time low of 43.3% in 1992. When compared to Lithuania's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Belarus amounted to 139%, 157% in Estonia, 130% in Latvia and 52.2% in Russia in 2021.
