Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Slovakia reached an all time high of 190% in 2018 and an all time low of 57.2% in 1990. When compared to Slovakia's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Austria amounted to 111%, 143% in Czechia, 163% in Hungary and 112% in Poland in 2021.
