Foreign exchange reserves, including gold in terms of months of imports rose 45.6% to 5.53 months in Tunisia in 2020, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, foreign exchange reserves, including gold in terms of months of imports in Tunisia reached an all time high of 5.81 months in 2009 and an all time low of 0.978 months in 1985. When compared to Tunisia's main peers, foreign exchange reserves, including gold in terms of months of imports in Algeria amounted to 15.4 months, 4.69 months in Italy, 65.2 months in Libya and 0.368 months in Malta in 2020.
