Fixed line penetration as a percentage of population rose 9.73% to 13.2% in Sri Lanka in 2021, according to World Bank.

Historically, fixed line penetration as a percentage of population in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 17.3% in 2010 and an all time low of 0.231% in 1964. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, fixed line penetration as a percentage of population in India amounted to 1.69%, 24.6% in Malaysia, 2.69% in Maldives and 0.971% in Myanmar in 2021.
