Historically, female to male tertiary enrollment rate in Nepal reached an all time high of 108% in 2020 and an all time low of 24.6% in 2002. When compared to Nepal's main peers, female to male tertiary enrollment rate in Bangladesh amounted to 81.2%, 106% in Bhutan, 116% in China and 111% in India in 2020.
Nepal has been ranked 80th within the group of 109 countries we follow in terms of female to male tertiary enrollment rate, 30 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
