Historically, female pupils in primary education as a share of total in Georgia reached an all time high of 49.6% in 2002 and an all time low of 46.7% in 2012. When compared to Georgia's main peers, female pupils in primary education as a share of total in Armenia amounted to 46.9%, 46.2% in Azerbaijan, 49.0% in Russia and 48.8% in Turkey in 2015.
