Historically, exports as a share of GDP in Mongolia reached an all time high of 0.608% in 2004 and an all time low of 0.183% in 1990. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, exports as a share of GDP in China amounted to 0.200%, 0.335% in Kazakhstan, 0.393% in Kyrgyzstan and 0.309% in Russia in 2021.
Mongolia has been ranked 31st within the group of 152 countries we follow in terms of exports as a share of GDP, 21 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
