Historically, distillate fuel oil consumption in Switzerland reached an all time high of 153 '000 bpd in 1985 and an all time low of 114 '000 bpd in 2015. When compared to Switzerland's main peers, distillate fuel oil consumption in Austria amounted to 156 '000 bpd, 965 '000 bpd in France, 1,101 '000 bpd in Germany and 558 '000 bpd in Italy in 2016.
