Distillate fuel oil consumption fell 11.4% to 221 '000 bpd in Egypt in 2015, according to EIA.

Historically, distillate fuel oil consumption in Egypt reached an all time high of 254 '000 bpd in 2012 and an all time low of 79.8 '000 bpd in 1988. When compared to Egypt's main peers, distillate fuel oil consumption in Israel amounted to 50.7 '000 bpd, 112 '000 bpd in Libya, 753 '000 bpd in Saudi Arabia and 43.9 '000 bpd in Sudan in 2015.
