Historically, currant production in Slovakia reached an all time high of 37,786 tonnes in 1989 and an all time low of 38.0 tonnes in 2017. When compared to Slovakia's main peers, currant production in Austria amounted to 4,080 tonnes, 1,270 tonnes in Czechia, 3,850 tonnes in Hungary and 152,000 tonnes in Poland in 2021.
