Historically, currant production in Switzerland reached an all time high of 547 tonnes in 2003 and an all time low of 52.0 tonnes in 2017. When compared to Switzerland's main peers, currant production in Austria amounted to 4,080 tonnes, 10,000 tonnes in France, 13,770 tonnes in Germany and 1,100 tonnes in Italy in 2021.
