Historically, currant production in Estonia reached an all time high of 3,411 tonnes in 2002 and an all time low of 90.0 tonnes in 2019. When compared to Estonia's main peers, currant production in Finland amounted to 1,640 tonnes, 1,100 tonnes in Latvia, 4,470 tonnes in Lithuania and 474,400 tonnes in Russia in 2021.
